Bass/baritone Robert Frederick began performing as a 9-year-old with the Tulsa Boy Singers, which led to work in the Tulsa Opera chorus. In college, he sang with the traveling Motet Choir of the University of Chicago. Mr. Frederick's professional choir, recording, and solo experiences include Boston's Tanglewood Festival Chorus, Chicago's Bella Voce, Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral, and Greensboro's Bel Canto Company. He also uses his voice in his work as a science journalist, with on-air credits from NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered, St. Louis Public Radio, Michigan Radio, WKAR, and KUNC. His work also includes interviewing and multimedia work for Science magazine, The Financial Times, and Nature Publishing Group, as well as educational materials for the Emergency Nurses Association.
